My name si Difna nyasuguta onyancha. I was born and raised in Nakuru but am originally from Sironga a village named Engoto in Nyamira county. My village is named after a very old tree that looks like a cuctus. In my family we name kids after a dead family member and I was named after the sister to my father. My name means an old traditional broom that was made from a specific twig. That broom was called ‘esuguta’ and they just added nya to make my name.

Moraa is a Kisii word which means ‘born in the shrubs’.I was born in a village called “Rigoko near Nyansiongo Tea factory.”Nyansiongo “means a place of plenty.This place was a settlement scheme at first but later was inhabited by Kisii migrants. The word “Rigoko ” means a place that when we had heavy rains they would sweep away all the soil into the depression.
